Goal: 100 miles

Raised: $3,030

Goal $5,000

April to June

During the spring of 2024 , Karen has embarked on a 100-mile walk to raise funds for The Ageno Foundation’s Economic Empowerment Projects in Africa and India. With your support, individuals in low-income rural and urban areas will receive the funds and technical assistance they need to become more economically self-reliant by, for example:

  • raising chickens and selling eggs
  • opening small shops or stalls stocked with fruits, vegetables, and small household and personal items
  • buying seeds and farming tools
  • purchasing equipment, materials, and other necessary supplies that will enable them to cook, make, and sell items such as baked goods, clothes, jewelry, and crafts

With your support of these small entrepreneurial initiatives, grant recipients will be able to generate the income they need to meet their and their children’s need for food, housing, and education.
